Kinematic Link - 2 Bodies on Independent Slider Joints

I have two bodies that move along two different sets of axis - both are slider joints. In real-life they are connected by an oil path, where the motion of one drives the other through the hydraulic ratio of the oil line as well as any dynamic effects of the oil itself. I can get them to move dynamically (MDO), but I'm not sure if there is an easy way to obtain relative motion kinematically (MDX) without creating a custom driver for the "driven" body (which is essentially "cheating" but will solve the problem). Any ideas on how to dive the slave bodyfrom the master body using a kinematic link? Has anybody used "geometry" drivers and will this accomplish my task?

Thanks,

Chris
