situation: Problem with DEFSUB encountered with Pro2001 when changing from a Sun-station (unix platform) to a PC running XP.
For a couple months we have been using DEFSUB/ENDSUB/CALSUB CL-commands in the customize screen in some programs for parts that are well suited for it. This reduced programming time substantially and reduced tape file size considerably.
One of our guys was upgraded to PC from a Sun station last week and now cannot use a DEFSUB command. When entering the CL-command "DEFSUB/2" he gets blown out of Pro as soon as he hits the OK button. If he calls up an existing program that contains a DEFSUB every thing appears to be OK until he attempts to do a play path or tries to generate an NCL file upon which he gets blown out.
Interestingly, if he adds a CL-command that contains "DEFSUB" but does not include the slash and the argument (the 2 or whatever number we specify) then it does not blow out of Pro. But, of course, without the argument the DEFSUB is essentially useless.
We have a call into PTC on this but have not gotten a solution yet.
