Using License Borrowing

Using License Borrowing

I'm just beginning to investigate using the license borrowing feature in Pro/E WF2. My question is: can a user check out a license, take it home on a memory stick or e-mail it, then use it on his home computer? From what I have read so far, my understanding is that the machine that is going to be using the borrowed license must be connected to the license server in order to check out the license. I hope I am mistaken. Can somebody enlighten me please?

Thanks.

Re: Using License Borrowing

As you describe, you can't have a license on a memorystick.

Re: Using License Borrowing

In my humble opinion, using a home computer for work is probably a bad idea
anyway (for reasons of security and data integrity).
If your company requires people to use Pro/E at home, perhaps those people
should be issued with notebooks.
Alternatively, consider purchasing one notebook to be shared by your users
as required.
