PTC Integrity Modeler memory management configurations at install

I am seeing performance degradation when building large models as the model database fills. Are there any memory management configurations that can be set at the time that PTC Integrity Modeler is installed to improve performance?

hi Stephanie,

We made several performance improvements for dealing with large models in Modeler 8.2 (patch releases) and Modeler 8.3.

Please re-test using the latest version as we would expect to see performance improvements.

Depending on the architecture of your deployment there are some configurations that can be specified to improve performance.

Search for "performance" in the Modeler Help and several topics are available, specifically:

  • Operational Parameters (Enabler Administration)
  • Checking and reorganizing a repository (Enabler Administration)
  • Overview of working across sites (installation guide)
  • Direct access of a remote model from Modeler (installation guide)
  • Modeler runs slow over the network
