Having upgraded from 10.4 to 10.9, I'm asked if we can use the new "Custom Fields" (see 10.9 User Doc chapter 8).
At first glance, they sound like what we need: project-based custom fields defined and managed by non-admins.
However, as I look more into details, this is what I find:
- Custom fields cannot be used in queries, or filters, or trigger rules.
- They display as tables (similar to relationships), which makes them difficult to use in reports.
- I suspect they cannot be used in document import/export via Gateway.
So I have to ask: is anyone using Integrity Custom Fields, and if so, how?
