Arbortext Editor 5.3 crashing with Windchill 9.1

Software versions: Windchill (Arbortext Content Manager) 9.1 M010 Arbortext Editor 5.3 M100 Problem: Arbortext Editor 5.3 (installed on multiple clients all exhibiting same behaviour) can:
- connect to Windchill 9.1 - browse workspaces - create workspaces - save a new document as server object - check-out a document
but, always crashes when trying to save or check-in modified document. a) This command doesn't crash, but doesn't save either: File -> Update Document Returns message: "No objects have been modified. Object update was not executed." b) These commands all cause Arbortext Editor to crash: File -> Save or File -> Upload Document to Server or Object -> Check In Object The crash kills Arbortext Editor completely and leaves a Java Hotspot error log file on the desktop. e.g. header from "hs_err_pid3936.log" ======================================================== # # An unexpected error has been detected by HotSpot Virtual Machine: # # EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION (0xc0000005) at pc=0x06f3e49e, pid=3936, tid=3028 # # Java VM: Java HotSpot(TM) Server VM (1.5.0_11-b03 mixed mode) # Problematic frame: # C [atimport.dll+0x2de49e] # ... (followed by stack trace info, etc.) ======================================================== Note: the header is same on all systems, none of which have Java 1.5.0_11-b03 mixed mode, so must version be coming from Arbortext Editor. Has anyone experienced anything similar? Thanks

According to Arbortext Software Compatibility Matrices, on Windchill/ACM 9.1 M010, only Editor 5.3 M110+ builds are supported. This could be not the case, but I'd suggest trying to update and check if the issue is reproducible with the Editor 5.3 M150. The M100->M150 bugfix list is quite big, so updating could be a good idea anyways

Yes, it's working, now - no crash with Arbortext Editor 5.3 M150. (Now I have to go update Publishing Engine, etc.) Thanks
