Create Reference Document Subtype

Hi all,

It appears that on our system someone has deleted the OOTB "Reference Document" Subtype. We have never used it in the past and were looking to test using it for some documents. I had assumed that it had been disabled and I would just be able to go in and enable it but it is missing. Does anyone know the steps it would take to recreate the OOTB "Reference Document" Subtype? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Brian

Hi,

I am not sure about the version. If it is 10.1, you can use the export /
import function of Types. So if you have an additional development box, you
can export the type and import into the system where you accidently deleted

More information can be found from

Prajeesh,
Thanks for the info. I am running 10.1 M040 but the type is missing from my Dev server as well. I will have to see what I can do.

Thanks,
Brian

Double check the Policy Administrator if you haven't already. It is possible that rather than delete the type, there has been a DENY ALL ALLrule(s) applied to the type. This will impact Admin users as well as general users. Unlikely, but I have seen this be the case previously (although I'm not certain it impacts the 10.x Type Admin UI's.).
