I liked your comparison of "Project Lightning" to licking 9V battery. About AnyRole App and AnyMode modeling. I understand PTC attempt to tie co-create and proe. In concept it seems like a good idea, but they have tried it before at least twice: pro/jr and pro/desktop. They were introduced as light end conceptual design tools from which you can "seamlessly" transition your design into proe. Did not work for designers and did not work for engineers.
I liked the improvements in feature recognition and the ability to accept or reject the changes in the model. AnyBOM Assembly is impressive, but should see how it will work in real life.
