We are in the process of setting up an Intralink 3.4 installation.
Previously, in our 3.3 installation, we have not used e-mail notification to alert users that they have RTP forms to deal with. We would now like to use this feature.
However, in the manuals, we can find no details of how to set up the e-mail address of the Intralink server.
Does the software have its own e-mail address (something like intralink@intralink_server_thales.com), or do we have to set up an Outlook client on the server itself to act as the source of the e-mail for the rest of the world?
I'm only a humble Mechanical Engineer, so I realise my terminology is not necessarily quite up to scratch, but I hope my quandary is clear.
Any assistance will be gratefully received.
currently:
Ilink 3.3, WF2
soon to be:
Ilink 3.4, WF4
Thanks,
John
(sorry, but I posted this in Creo as well, on the grounds there is no 'Intralink 3.x' area!)
