EXTERNAL: Workflow Variables - Exception causes 'Display As ' to be ignored ?

That's interesting - ours does NOT reset if the assignment is reopened ! - maybe that's M040 behaviour.
Thanks
Ian

We ran into the same issue in M040 9.1, "Trouble is the Page is
redisplayed and the variables displayed as their internal names NOT the
'Display As' strings." We actually ran into this regardless of the task
complete error or not.

We compensated by using variable names that looked reasonable by having
underscores, i.e. "This_is_my_variable" instead of an internal name of
thisIsMyVariable and a display as string of "This is my variable."

Just because a TSE has it assigned doesn't mean you'll get an answer. You
gotta ANNOY them sometimes. It is the holidays so answer will be slow, but
if you really need the answer, escalate to level 1 and set it extremely
critical, have the call reassigned, and speak to their manager. Do you have
it classified under Business Admin or something else? Is it reproducible
enough to be seen without use of transitions or what?

There may be an internal SPR for this already. I'm fairly sure this was a
known bug for some reason. Did you check the update advisor? I was running
it now to see what showed up as a reported/resolved issue between your
release and M050/M070. Might be able to get a patch. It also could I have
seen this and had developed a workaround for it, not sure.

Sounds like it doesn't run some javascript to rerender the page after it
submit the task and awaits the response in the background. That is how I
would tackle it with the TSE.

This issue is resolved in 9.1 M050 build per PTC. PTC did not issued us any temp patch simply asked us to upgrade which we haven't yet.
