Need some help in Info*Engine configurations.i.e. enabling windchill webservices I am using PDMLink 9.1. Following is my understanding on enabling windchill webservices using Info*Engine Components:
1. Create a Task in the Info*Engine Task editor and save it as a xml file in the windchill task directory --> Done 2. Login in the Properties Administrator as admin passing the LDAP directory credentials and create a task delegate of the newly created task --> Done 3. Execution of Task:
* Executing the group and management task webjects requires normal infoengine enviroment set up or can be used with a jsp page (Example - ping task ). --> Done * To use message or Web Event Service webjects, your site administrator must have installed and configured a MOM (Message Oriented Middleware) and implemented the Info*Engine features that provide the environment required by the webjects --> Requires Clarification
* Create entry for Adapter in Properties Administrator for the configured JMS(Java Messaging Service) MOM. * Makes a remote procedure call (RPC) to a 3rdparty Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP) service. Results from an RPC invocation are returned to the Info*Engine task or JSP author in the form of a group. The request passes as a message through JMS to the database and gets the response in a queue.
* Open Issues:
* What is the correct approach for enabling and using the web services. * How the adapter entry created and what is the best way for configuring the JMS. * What are the additional steps required for executing the tasks. * Appropriate client to use the web service.
Kindly go through the steps and let me know your comments on my understanding. Also if someone can share some steps on configuring the JMS, it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Ravin
