Is it possible to turn off the build rule for Product Stucture within
Windchill 9.0?
Please allow me to elaborate. The EPMDocs (Pro/E authored CAD Documents)
have Owner links to WTParts. The Owner links allow attributes to be
propagated to the WTParts form the CAD Docs and also the viewables.
However, the Owner links also automatically update the product
structures and, more importantly, prevent the modification of the
product structure where the usage links were propagated from the CAD
Structure.
I am investigating to see if its possible to retain the propagation of
the attributes and viewables but stop the build rule affecting change to
the Product Structure and allow changes to be made to the structure
containing owner linked parts through the PSE and Edit Structure
windows.
I am experimenting with the property: wt.epm.build.subsumeLinks
But have not been successful yet.
