We have CAD objects that associate with the corresponding WT part when we check in the CAD object. In the WT part we have additional parameters, such as "Provider". If I set the provider name on the WT part, without having the "Provider" parameter in the CAD part, this information is cleared from the WTpart next time I check out and check in the CAD object. This is not good. Is there a way to maintain the association without affecting certain WTpart specific parameters?
For example a bracket that is made by three different machine shops would have 3 different WTparts, with different "Provider" parameters, but use the same CAD object as the source. So if I update the CAD I don't want to go back in to the different WTparts to add the Providers again.
