We are (still) preparing for our migration from Pro/I 3.4 to PDMLink 9.1
There are 2 attributes in Pro/I, Description* and Description. Don't know how 2 were created, but they are there so I have to deal with them.
Most PIVs (>97%) have values in Description*. The remainder has values in (Description) or (Description* and Description).
It would be a manual effort to figure out which Description value to migrate. Fortunately it's pretty easy to determine the "right" value.
Is there a tool available to merge the attribute values in Pro/I into a single Description* attribute?
This attribute merge would be done on the Pro/I clone environment immediately prior to the migration to PDMLink.
Ideally the tool would adjust the values in the database en mass without identifing the objects as being changed.
