Can anyone comment on the impact of the number of "network hops" (measured with tracert command) on the performance of a PDMLink embedded browser (embedded in Pro/E)? Preliminary tests with our current PDMLink 9.1 (M040) pilot implementations (three different environments - all with monolithic installations and similar CPU/RAM and manager/method server memory settings) show that if you have twice as many hops it takes twice as long to open Pro/E files, browse folders, etc. If this has been you experience as well I'd like to hear from you - it will provide the necessary justification to get some network topology changes for our production implementation.
