PTC Windchill - JIRA

Hi,

I have a customer that needs to retrieve item numbers from PTC Windchill and show them in a selectbox in JIRA.

I´m totally new with PTC Windchill.

Is there a API that makes is possible to retrieve the item numbers from PCT Windchill or could I reach the database?
