For those of you who have migrated from Pro/INTRALINK 3.x to Windchill, we have a question about how you handled the mapping of types. With the Pro/INTRALINK migrator tool, you can take all .doc files and map them to a single Windchill type for example. However, in Pro/INTRALINK, you might have had several different uses for .doc files where mapping them all to one single Windchill type didn't work.
How did you handle this transition? Did you migrate into a legacy type and then everything newly created would be under a new Windchill type that was more appropriate? How did that work out for you? How did you handle searching for data, etc? Thanks!
