I have seen this issue mainly with Product View drawings but I know that
it is a deeper issue across many graphics related apps (screen capture
and the like). After a certain time of being running, our workstations
start experiencing graphics issues. An example would be that a drawing
in Product View would be black (background) making it illegible. If I
shrink the drawing window, it suddenly appears ok. Expand it again,
black. If I reboot, works fine for a while. At that time, I also notice
any screen capture program fails to capture images. Again, rebooting
resets.
I am certain this has something to do with memory. Not sure if its
graphics memory or system memory. I believe we started noticing this to
a great degree when users started getting dual monitors. However, I do
know that there is at least one case where it was on a single monitor
system. It does not seem be related to the 3GB switch since users with
and without experience it. We have tried different graphics cards and
drivers.
Has anyone seen similar issues? I would like to compare notes.
