Here is a question from our oracle admin. I was hoping I could get some
answers from the forum:
I was wondering if you are ever on the Pro-E user forums? I am working on
putting the oracle database into archivelog mode and then setting up hot
backups nightly using RMAN.
Do you know if that is how other people back up the PRO-E database? It
shouldn't cause any issues, but I was wondering if you have ever seen
anyone else having issues using RMAN or archivelog mode?
We were also wondering about the vault. There is one directory called
SYSPOOL that has many, many, many files. Is this normal? Our sys admin
indicates that having that many files in a windows directory may cause
issues. Do you usually keep all vault files in one directory?
