Use Case:
We are trying to clone/rehost our dev system to migt0.
Already packed/unpacked from source D:\ptc\Windchill_12.1 to target system.
Already copied oracle db to other host Setting up the files in D:\wcRehost\conf\
projects.properties
clone.ourCompany=Database,InfoEngine,Database,Apache,Solr
clone-ourCompany.properties
target.ldap.IEConfDir=D:/ptc/Windchill_12.1/Windchill/IEConf
target.ldap.username=cn=Directory Manager
target.ldap.password=$encrypt
target.ldap.hostname=ServerB.de.ourCompany.intern
target.ldap.port=0815
source.local.domain=ServerA.de.ourCompany.intern
target.ldap.serviceName=de.ourCompany.intern.ServerB
Description:
1.question
How should we type the hostname, domain and the service name when we use FQDN?
With AD direction intern.ourCompany.de.ServerA or usuall URL ServerA.de.ourCompany.intern
Or did the Rehost tool change the FQDN to the right format?
In source system D:/ptc/Windchill_12.1/Windchill/IEConf/adapterservice.json
there is on top
"ptcServiceName": [
"intern.ourCompany.de.ServerA.namingService"
....
"ptcServiceName": [
"intern.ourCompany.de.Ldap"
],
"ptcMetaType": "JNDI Adapter",
"ptcProperty": [
"intern.ourCompany.de.Ldap.java.naming.provider.url=ldap://ServerA.de.ourCompany.intern",
2. question
we have 11 AD Adapters for different countries.
do we have to reconnect all 11x after rehost/clone with the xconfmanager to D:\ptc\Windchill_12.1\Windchill\site.xconf ? Because each adapter has it own password?
Thank you
