Rehost in place

Designation: Non-Finmeccanica

Hi everyone,

I need to rehost a production Windchill (Intralink 9.0 M020) system due
to a domain name change. Windchill, tomcat, and Apache are running as
Windows services. Is it necessary to un-install them as services before
running the rehost?

Thanks to Mike I. for the recommendation to remove the services before
rehosting.

I have one other question for the group, related to this issue. Since
our IT dept. did not notify us of the domain change before hand, a
number of users had modified and new objects in their workspaces. After
rehost, these workspaces were no longer available. I recall in my Ilink
3.4 days a utility that could repair workspaces after a server move.
Does anyone know of a way to recover the content of workspaces after a
rehost?

This might be too late to help, butthereis a utility called the Windchill Cache Recovery Tool that does a pretty good job retrieving files from a local workspace.
