Replication sync issue
Hi all,
We are using Windchill 9.1 M030 and setup a replication server .
Weare performing first time sync with all contexts selected. We created a
replication scheduler with all contexts selected. Scheduler is completing
with no errors. However there are only 120K files in replica vault compared
to 750K files in master vault. I am wondering if anyone has run into such
issue. Any ideas to debug the issue would be helpful.
Thanks,
Prathap <">http://goo.gl/LuT5>

Prathap,
You might want to check your replication rules to ensure it was created properly. It seems from what you described, it is not replicating everything, only a subset of your data. That might explain why the number of files in replica vault does not match the number in master vault.

Also, the setting
wt.fv.replicationFileSize.Threshold can filter out smaller files from being replicated so if the files not appearing in the replica are mostly smaller ones this might be a source of discrepancy.

The replication rule’s Iteration setting of Latest vs. All can impact the number of files replicated as well.

Thanks for all the input. Here is the vault rule that we setup with all the
available contexts. We have all the iterations selected in the option with
Content Holder as the object type.
Wondering if anyone use any other object type?

Object Type Generally defines which object type should WC pick for the
replication.

Alex and Mayur
Content Holder is the common interface for docs and epmdocs. So it is
able to replicate both.
However I removed that rule and add two new rules one fro WTDocument and one
for EPMDocument. Still it didn't replicate all the files.
What object type are you using for replication?
Thanks,

You can chose as per your needs. The Best practice is create a different
rule and schedule for different Objects types you are using.
Thanks
