We are at the beginning of an evaluation of a migration project from Windchill V8.0 to 9.1. On 8.0 we have a strongly customized data model and we want to migrate this model to Standard Windchill with SUMA and we have very less experience with SUMA.
For an migration we could use the LoadFrom File Framework, but thats not flexible enough for our needs, so we want to implement import Tasks via the API as we did on V8.0 with WTParts and WTObjects. But we are facing some Problems:
We weren't able to create Manfufacturers/Vendors via create-Objects-Webject.And we need to create Manufacturers/Vendors via the API for an Interface, so we need the possibility to create/update those objects.
We know that there must be an organization which can then be referenced as Manufacturer/Vendor in the AXL, but our developer hasn't found a documentation that explains the creation/update of WTOrganization objects and/or Vendor/Customer objects.
We also asked the PTC Support and they said that most of the SUMA APIs are not supported and therefore not documented?
So, we would be very grateful if anyone has some hints of how to mange the following use cases:
1. How to create/update Vendor/Manufacturer objects via the API.
2. How to create/update AXL entries(Reference of WTParts to Vendor and Manufacturer Parts) objects via the API.
