Set State of Promotion Targets to APPROVED or REWORK using wt.maturity.MaturityServerHelper

I wasn't able to find a posting covering this, can you send me the right way?
In our Promote to Released workflow we would like to set promotion objects from WIP->UNDERREVIEW->REWORK->APPROVED->RELEASED.
The OOTB PR workflow covers the LOCK(UNDERREVIEW) and UNLOCK(WIP) and PROMOTE(RELEASED), these are all done with the wt.maturity.MaturityServerHelper class.
Is there a method in that class to set to my promotion targets to APPROVED or REWORK state?
In my Change Task workflow I use this to set states: wt.maturity.TransitionHandlerFactory.getInstance().transitionTargets(primaryBusinessObject, wt.lifecycle.Transition.toTransition("REVIEW"), false);
