I wanted to have two Pro/E workers and give users a choice as to which worker to publish to when doing a manual publish job - One that publishes to HPGL (for markups in PV) and one that publishes to PDF (for released files).
Unfortunately it doesn't look possible to configure Windchill to give users a choice of workers (I'm still waiting for tech support to weigh in).
My workaround is to create a PDF from the HPGL-based ProductView rep using this procedure:
* In Windchill do a "Save Representation" on the HPGL rep - This creates a zip file containing a .plt plot file.
* Open the .plt with a very nice little program called ViewCompanion Pro and save as a PDF.
This creates a PDF that is virtually as clean as one created directly from Pro/E.
I tried a couple of others like CutePDF and Win2PDF that were decent but still looked a little funky at high magnification.
