Since upgrading from 9.1M030 to 9.1M062 we now see CAD drawings assoicated to WTParts via a link type called "calculated" when previously it was the passive link type "content"
I found a little bit of information on the PTC site about this but it does not explain the reason for the change

Can anybody shed any light on this. I presume this is simply to distinguish between content links created manually/deliberately and those created automatically by the system resulting from the owner link between the 3D model used on the drawing and a WTPart.
I need to decide whether or not to convert them to "content" or leave them as "calculated". Are there any implications to doing one or the other that I should know about?

Darren
Hello Jered,
Your explanation was good. I have a doubt here.
"There may be other distinctions, however we have noticed that the associations which are 'Calculated' do not propagate when view versioned."
Can you please elaborate what do you mean by the above statement.
I am facing an issue in Windchill 11 where the wtpart parameters are not getting updated when the EPMDocument is updated. Do you have any idea of what's going on?
Thanks
Hari
We are moving from WC9.1 to WC 11 and I still don't understand the difference. Does anyone have a simple explanation on this topic? This is what I understand so far for WC 11. If the .PRT/.ASM is the OWNER of the .WTPART then the CAD drawing would be CONTENT ASSOCIATION. How does a calculated association get created? Is this manual or automatic?
Thanks!
