Windchill Solutions Subscribers;

We just kicked off a project to upgrade from WC 9.1 M050 to 10.1 (planning a rollout of M020/M030 in the spring). We currently use PDMLink in a multi org environment (8 orgs--we are onboarding another org that is currently useing WC 😎 for CAD (Pro/E and UWGM for SolidWorks and AutoCAD) and document management, change management, and supplier management. We also use ProjectLink for CAD and document management. Does anyone with experience upgrading from 9.1 to 10.0 or 10.1 have any information regarding roadblocks that were encountered in the upgrade and what the impacts/resolutions were? Any tips, suggestions, or summary of lessons learned would be very helpful. Thanks.

Just make sure you get a good, clean WinDU and you should be somewhat fine. You can do a large upgrade fairly quick (less than a day) if things go well. Also, PTC has a special team just for Upgrades that is based out of Boston. I know the guys personally and they are solid.

Check the Software Matrix to make sure your target Pro/E / Creo version is compatible your 10.1 Windchill Target.
