Windchill Naming Problems

Windchill does not allow me use the same part number for my part/assembly to name my drawing file. I have been using Pro/E for over 15 years, and have never had this problem. Can someone help me out to correct this issue?

Include the file extension in the filename & number.  This will distinguish between cad object types.

Name (aka. "Common Name") doesn't have this uniqueness constraint.  Those values can be the same if you so desire.

Solution I have used... let the Drawing "Number" be PARTNUMBER.DRW.  (this is the Windchill Number of the CAD Document that contains the Drawing, and the Number must be unique by Object type)

Solution that I have thought about, but not tried or tested...  Soft-Type CAD Document to enable type uniqueness between part/assembly models and Drawings.
