Workspace (or similar) for WTDocuments?

Had a user ask if there was any way to have some synchronization and update capability for a collection of WTDocuments. Complaint is that knowing that nothing later exists (Subscriptions could cover, but clunky) and needing to manually search or browse and download is even clunkier. User would essentially like to work client side with WTDocument primary content in a similar way as EPM Documents (CAD)



Has anyone built a solution for this? does the magic of "10" address this?

The Desktop Integration available with Windchill 10.0 will allow you to browse and navigate the contents of your Windchill folders directly from Windows Explorer. From here you can locate and download documents with simple drag-n-drop operations. Items "copied" to your desktop can be opened, checked out, checked in and other operations using the tight integration with Microsoft Office or the RMB Context menu for non-Office documents.
