desktop integration ???

I'm playing with 9.1-m030 and Office 2007 with desktop integration.

If I click on a Word doc in PDMlink and pick open from the java download client. All the icons in the action section of the Windchill tab are grayed out. I can't checkout, or checkin. Can this be fixed?

If I open up office and search for a doc in Windchill and open it that way, then all the action icons are available.

I'd much rather browse for documents, but I don't see a way to do that. Is it possible?

Hi David,

I think you should open the Preference-manager, go to the "Attachements" section and change the preference "File Download Mechanism" to "Use Windchill Desktop Integration functionality to download files". I am almost sure that this will fix the problem.
