ldif import
Windchill Admins,
I accidently deleted a user from the Aphelion LDAP Browser. We are on WC 9.1 M060 and still using Aphelion.
Now I am trying to take the ldif backup from last night and import it in to recreate the user.
Has anyone done this before and provide some instructions.
Thanks
Rich

Hi Rich,
Ideally, if there is no difference between your ldif backup and LDAP before deleting user, reimport it should work.
Thanks,
Shashi

Single user? Just copy another user entry and change the attribute details. This should not require a full backup. You can use the provided Syntegra LDAP browser to do this. It should show in Windchill as a Disconnected User. Very simple.

If you took an LDAP backup prior to doing the delete, you can import the ldif file. I have done this several times during my time supporting windchill.

You guys know this,
Best practice with modifying Windchill DS or Aphelion, backup before you make a modification directly.
I hope you have a test server or mirror to practice on too with a backup of that.
Having fun,
Patrick
