The method to communicate the allowable part feature variation from design to manufacturing has been with tolerances. In a Model Based Definition (MBD) environment 3D models are used to define Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). The correct application and harmonization of national and international standards becomes complex and challenging. The GT&T advisor provides expert guidance on the correct application of GD&T and ensures standards compliance within PTC Creo Parametric. In this presentation an overview of all the available tolerances analyses options within the PTC Creo Parametric environment will be presented. Best-Worst Case, 1D Tolerance Stack Up Analysis and Tolerance Optimization for Assembly Quality techniques will be demonstrated.
