3D annotation notes intersect model

Hello fellow users!! If you could assist me on a small bump in my
road...

Background:
I need to create a snapshot with notes points to areas on an
assembly that I can then insert into a word document. I want to be able
to update this snap shot easily with a saved assembly/notes, but just
updating my parts and re-inserting another snapshot. AKA...simple
update

Issue:
When I create a 3D annotation on a plane and point to a surface
that is surrounded by material, my note leader disappears into the
model. Can I get the leader to show always, regardless of the
intersecting geometry
<<pbrush>>

Alternative method:
I have better control of this 3D note in drawing mode. It
appears in front of the geometry as intended. However, I'd like for the
view to show a "solid colored" view, not just wireframe. I thought that
was possible?
<<pbrush>>

Any help would be appreciated. Have a great day.

Hey Jamie,

I think you can get the result you are looking for by using Edit, Setup, Note instead ofInsert, Model Datum, Annotation.

Make sure you check the box that says "place note nornal to screen" and the leader should always be "on top" of the geometry

Dean

Agree with Dean.

Note, to get the checkbox that says "place normal to screen", you may need
to unplace the note first and then place it again, or when you create a new
one check it first before you place the note.

Thank-you very much to:

The proper method to use is place a note using "Place Normal to Screen",
however in WF2 this needs to accessed using:

Edit, Setup, Note

opposed to

Insert, Model Datum, Annotation.

Thank you very much to all that responded. Have a great day!
