Hello everybodyIt seems that the limit to constraint a conic arc is 4 points. I picked the start and end point and lay the arc as close to the 5 sketch points. Then i apply the constraints but it wont let me pick more than 4 unless i start making other dimensions References like the Rho, etc.any ideas. i need to keep the Radius (Rh), so a Spline feature will not work and neither a Curve by points. i guess i can go back to Manufacturing and delete the rest of the sketcher points. thanks
Why can’t assembly level annotations / notes reference component level feature dimensions using the part's Session ID like you can in 2D Drawings, this functionality works perfectly fine in 2D drawings but does not work in 3D annotations. Example: Calling out a C-Bore depth at the assembly level and using &dxxx:y to reference the depth of the C-Bore that is driven by dimension "xxx" on component with Session ID "y".This is confirmed to not currently be possible see, https://www.ptc.com/en/support/article/CS93719There are several possible work around but being able to reference a component dimension directly is less convoluted and it is already possible in traditional 2D drawing environments.
Hi everyone,We are currently developing a Creo TOOLKIT-based connector that synchronizes Creo models with an external system.As part of the synchronization workflow, the connector needs to detect changes made to the model (such as newly added parameters or geometry modifications). Before these changes can be synchronized, the model must first be saved so that the latest state is available. To avoid requiring users to manually save after every change, the connector automatically saves the model when necessary.However, we've observed that once the model is saved, the Undo history appears to be cleared. As a result, the user can no longer perform undo operations on the model that were enabled before the save.In some other CAD applications (e.g., Autodesk Inventor), saving the model does not clear the Undo history, allowing users to continue using Undo even after an autosave.I'd like to understand whether this behaviour is expected in Creo.Is it by design that File → Save (or ProMdlSave())
Hi guys,I’m working in Creo 12 and I do have some tables and BOM tables, and I'd like to change their anchor point. By that, I mean the position of the mouse cursor when I place them using "Table from File". I like to have it in the complete right bottom.I've already tried changing the growth direction, but unfortunately that doesn't solve the problem.Any ideas on how this can be changed? Hello, I have a drawing .drw in which I have to upload a .jpg image, then I have to export it in .dwg and send it to another person. This person can not see the image in the .dwg because he doesn’t have the original image.Is there a way to share the .dwg containing the image without sending also the .jpg to the other person?I would like to incorporate the .jpg in the .drw and not to upload it as a xreference.ps. I’ve already activated the save_texture_with_model options in config but it doesn’t workThank you for help, I look forward to your answersBest regards

Good afternoon PTC users. We have been viewing this forum and providing individualized feedback to members for some time now. As a degreed ME and former IT Manager of one of the first NT Pro/E installations, I can appreciate the value, first hand, that this forum brings to the user community and do not wish to dilute it in any manner (i.e. we have resisted the urge to throw out blanket advertisements). The reason I am posting this thread is that I have noticed that there have been a lot of basic Windchill admin questions posted that are covered in the "PTC Windchill PDMLink Business Administration Training". This course is typically offered to those who are going to be supporting a Windchill environment. For those of you who have progressed beyond the need for this training, perhaps you have counterparts or other support personnel that could benefit? The material is also applicable to those who may be running Pro/INTRALINK 9.1 as a large part of the course covers the same material.For
I am working on a project where I want the size of the balloons to be reduced to less than the text size or close to the text size. I tried the min_balloon_radius and max_balloon_radius options, but they only allow increasing the balloon size because the minimum value for the balloon radius can only go down to 0, which is the same as the text size. However, I want to reduce the size to less than 0.Is there any option available to reduce the size of the BOM balloon that 0?
Hello, I'm not really sure how to label this one, but let me try and elaborate: Has anyone else experienced it where there is a delay/lag spike when trying to left click (select) anything in the graphics windows on Creo 11? Calling it a delay probably isn't correct, but Creo 11 (both versions 11.0.0.0 and 11.0.1.0) just seems to "miss" some of my mouse inputs. It happens randomly when I'm either trying to add a dimension in a 3D sketch; CTRL select edges or surfaces of a 3D model; and also when trying to move balloons in drawings? Essentially left click/selecting anything on a daily basis will just randomly not respond and I have to click again. I always thought it was just me miss clicking but I'm noticing it more and more, and its not limited to a specific model.I have compared it to Creo 10 and it seems to be primarily in 11. I have tried:- Default PTC config- Different mouse- Multiple models
Hi, In Creo 3 I was able to add a dimension to a 2d drawing and while the dimension was still highlighted red...I could change the font, color and size. We then jumped to Creo 7, and it seems this no longer works. We are now on Creo 11, and it still doesn't work. I can change the font, and the size..but color does not stick if I just created the dimension. If the dimension is already existing, and i click on it….. i can change the color. I want to change the color on the fly. I am trying to create a mapkey to do this, but i cannot get this color to change if I try to run the mapkey on the fly, after creating the dimension. (with the dimension still highlighted) If I run it on an already existing dimension, it works fine.What am i doing wrong? see recording
I am using Creo Parametric Release 10.0 and Datecode10.0.7.0 geometric tolerance jumps off of the witness line when I try to move it. When I create a new geometric tolerance it will not allow placement on tangent to horizontal.
I have a datautility for a classification attribute, using the selector of classification attribute, can we apply the same logic to another attribute? @HelesicPetr
Hi everyone,I am simulating the attached link mechanism (car seat flip-up with leg folding) in Creo MDO.(To get operating torque for seat flip up at each angle) However, the measured motor torque varies significantly depending on the flip-up motor speed and the minimum interval settings. In my current model, I observed the following: Motor speed: 10 deg/s Minimum interval: 1 to 0.01 Result: Motor torque oscillates significantly. Motor speed: 1 deg/s Minimum interval: 1 or 0.1 Result: Stable torque results. Motor speed: 0.1 deg/s Minimum interval: 1 to 0.01 Result: Simulation fails because the slot connection breaks. Based on these results, it seems that using a slower motor speed and a smaller minimum interval does not always improve simulation stability. Could anyone explain why this behavior occurs and share any recommendations for improving the stability of MDO simulations? Any best practices for selecting motor speed, interval settings, or other solver parameters would be greatly
Summary of the IssueCreo Parametric 13.4.0.0 is causing a catastrophic failure of the Windows graphics subsystem across every machine tested, including: University lab computers Instructor workstations Student laptops My personal workstation The failure is identical across all systems: initiating certain display operations causes a full backscreen eventObserved BehaviorAcross all affected machines: Entire display system blacks out All monitors reset No Creo traceback or crash log is generated System becomes unresponsive for several seconds Creo must be manually relaunched, unsaved work is lost. Crashes occur seemingly at random. This issue is present on my personal computer, laptop, university computers, instructor computers, and other student’s personal machines.
Just updated to CREO 12.4.3.0 and now rename_drawings_with_object is not working. When someone does “replace by new copy” in assembly mode, the drawing is not copied. It worked fine in previous version.
I am using Windchill Risk and Reliability Enterprise Edition (Formerly Relex) Release 11.1 and Datecode with CPS CPS11 We assign the default "DVPs" to "Control" in Data Definition for FMEA Worksheet to record Associated DVP (Test Matrix) link. The display shows the correct number of Associated DVP (such as "2 DVP (Test Matrix)" but in the database it shows does not the same (such as "0 DVP (Test Matrix)") . We are using MBD extensively and Creo is helping us out on that.I found 1 issue with sectional view.I have generated 3D sectional view and added in Combined state. It looks perfect in Creo.But when i export to PVZ , sectional view is not showing properly. It is still showing complete part not clipped view.Creo Parametric - Exported PVZ -
Hello, Is it possible that we can start with auto-numbering from PPL00000001 to till PPL00000220 then in between we want to skip some numbers and again start from PPL00003210 to so on….?
