Creo+ and Creo Parametric

Just wanted to share this, couldn’t find anything about it anywhere else, maybe helps another with similar problem.I am also wondering if this is intended functionality?We run Creo 12.4.3.0 together with windchill 13.1.3.2 and we have just begun using interchange assemblies.I just found out that if a interchange component member is locked in your workspace, you are unable to replace it by interchange. The option is simply grayed out without explanation. The other “Replace by” commands works.By pure chance I unlocked it and tried again and was amazed that it worked. I have also confirmed this case is also true on Creo 13.4.0.0

Is there a automatic way to restrict licenses for set of users?2. Solution from PTC suggests that its a manual filter list of .opt file to be maintained. Is there way to make it automate the list?If new user joins the name has to be added to list, if user leaves company the name has to be removed.Awaiting for responses.   

Hi guys,I’m working in Creo 12 and I do have some tables and BOM tables, and I'd like to change their anchor point. By that, I mean the position of the mouse cursor when I place them using "Table from File". I like to have it in the complete right bottom.I've already tried changing the growth direction, but unfortunately that doesn't solve the problem.Any ideas on how this can be changed? Growth direction of the table via “properties”Location of the cursor when adding table from fileWhat I also have tried to do, is:first create a table with only one cell change the growth direction to the right bottom corner   A table with only one cell and the direction from the right bottom corner add some columns on the left and a row on the top   Adding columns on the left of the first cell save the table when I add the table via “Table from file”, the corsor is at the top left corner of the first cell: Location where the cursor is when adding this table (started with only one cell)  So this wasn’t

Buongiorno a tutti,sto lavorando con dei cablaggi in Creo e avrei bisogno di calcolare il baricentro soltanto di una porzione del percorso del cavo.In pratica, vorrei selezionare due punti specifici lungo il cablaggio e ottenere la posizione del baricentro del tratto compreso tra questi due punti, escludendo il resto del percorso.È possibile eseguire questo calcolo direttamente in Creo? Esiste una funzione che permetta di definire un intervallo del cablaggio tramite due punti di riferimento e ricavarne automaticamente il centro di massa/baricentro?In alternativa, qual è il metodo migliore per ottenere questo risultato?Grazie in anticipo per il supporto.

Hi,when with Mechanism I run a pressure angle analysis for a simple circular cam with an eccentric follower, the result is always 0.Instead, it should yield a constant value other than 0.Could someone please explain why Creo provides this incorrect result?Am I doing something wrong?🤔If cam radius is 150mm and follower eccentricity is 100mm, pressure angle should be approximately 41.8 degrees, not zero.Thank you all for your time and help!Gigi

Hey everyone,I have searched through some of the discussion but I don't really understand the code that has been thrown around. I have three map keys set up in my config file. The first is ft and that opens my family table. The second is od and that opens my drawing and gives me a front cross section view, a right view, and then an iso view in the top right corner, I then pause to pick my instance and fill is my prompts such as details, date, drawn, by, part number, etc. I then use d to open the dimension tool and dimension the drawing. My question is how to I get my drawing file to open and be saved as the same name as the model file through my map keys so I don't have to go in and rename every drawing that I do? I tried to follow some peoples codes and put them in my map key code but then everything messed up. I also would like to get my drawing number box in the title block to be the same name as what the drawing and model are named. I'll attach a copy of the map key code I am runni

Using CREO 13. I always design in mm, all my files are set up like that.When I export a sheet metal flat pattern however (via the new direct export feature in CREO 13), the resulting DXF is inches (and the part is huge).I noticed the DXF contains the following string:$INSUNITS 701  0The “1” is the file setting to inches. Should not be like that.I don’t know where it comes from.I have my config.pro set up as following:pro_unit_length unit_mmdxf_out_scale_views yesdxf_out_drawing_scale yesI also noticed I have a dxf_template.drw. When I open it I notice drawing_units is set to “inch *”, but when I change it it immediately goes back to “inch” when I recheck, so I can’t set it. Not even sure if that file has any relevance. Also checked some iso.dtl file, which is has drawing_units set to MMI’m out of options right now. Any ideas?

The PRT which is the drawing based on has International System units (mm) settings. Whenever the generated DXF is opened, the Creo 9 drw convert dimensions from mm to inch and it is not intended. I'm not being able to find conversion in the drawing module. Don't know if the conversion occurs in the DXF exportation or in the drw generation from the exported DXF. Thanks

This is only a little annoying and I’m on Creo 8 right now, maybe this has been patched out. But has anyone else hit a limit for repeat regions in a BOM? I have it refusing to fill out the 12th repeat region and just has the first cell filled out with the parameter and session ID of the assembly. ex: &asm.mbr.material_spec2:195If there is a fix let me know. I have so many columns so I can edit single lines in notes so half the BOM is off paper.

I’ve recently gotten my hands and mind around Pro/TOOLKIT and have been developing a series of add-ons and tools to improve the Creo experience:Open the drawing associated with the active model Remind users to save their work (based on timer) with button to do so Warn before saving a model in a newer Creo version, with options to cancel or continue Detect a circular reference immediately and warn the user with undo what caused it Show what changed in an active model since the last save Detect weak dimension before finishing a sketch and warn userI’m considering making these available through my GitHub as a set of utilities to extend Creo. What other ideas or needs do you have? Would any of these be useful to you? No TOOLKIT license is required to use them. They’re simple add-ons enabled through a configuration option.

We have native legacy CADRA .cad files and need to convert them to pdf or similar. Is there a compatible viewer or conversion method?

Hi, I usually input the number of pattern instances using the parameter from the model into a drawing note and that will display the number of instances. Now, when I do that, it includes the suffix, which it never did before. Is there a setting I can change that toggles this behavior? I am using Creo 9.0.12.0.For example, with a feature patterned 4 times:Before: &p267 would display “4” Now: &p267 displays “4 EXTRUDES”I can manually delete the suffix text as a workaround, but I’m curious what changed from “before” to “now”.

Hello,I am a new user with CREO. When I remove a splice and place it on another branch it creates this loop from the prior splice location? I circled the prior and new location of the splice.my following steps: delete splice Insert component and place splice on next branchAm I missing a step or doing something wrong? there is two wires going to the splice, but I did not delete those. Thank you!

Hello, I’m currently using the GD&T Advisor under the Applications Tab within my 3D model. For unknown reasons, when I display the GTOLs in my drawing, the modifier symbols don’t show up. They just display as a blank box. Please see the attached picture. Has anyone ever ran into this before? Not sure if it’s a config setting or something else. 

I recently deleted Creo after having several problem codes (-9) and thereafter (-1) which came out of the blue. I tried following recommended steps, but after these didn’t work, I deleted Creo and every file related. When trying to download again, everything goes smooth until I try to install my university license, where it simply says “ERROR” under the license. I am now just a bit lost, and can’t find any solutions to the problem.

Currently exported sheet metal flat pattern DXF contain a layer CSYS with XY arrows.This layer is not needed and could confuse the laser cutter system.But there’s no option to remove the layer?I’ve tried mapping it to BLANK or “”, but it’s still included. 

I'm getting an error when running tasks in CREO: ERROR CODE:3 (SUBCODE7). I've already contacted NVIDIA; we've updated the driver, rolled back to older versions, and tweaked the graphics card settings, but the error keeps coming back. The card is a Quadro P400.   

The Customer using Creo Parametric Release 7.0 and Datecode7.0.8.0 When we apply the force/servo motor for the dynamic analysis it's not working properly.
