I just wanted to provide some information regarding a weird "bug" in showing annotation.
Problem statement: Showing 3D annotation in the model shows up in an alternate color from expected.
Cause: Locked dimensions in sketcher.
Symptoms: locked dimensions show up in red while unlocked and general annotation shows up in blue (with default color scheme).
I reported this and after 5 emails with support, it was reported to the development team.
It turns out this was already logged and is not considered expected behavior.
The problem is in the fact that locked dimension are a different color in sketcher and somehow this setting is carried through to unhiding the annotation.
Support has acknowledged that this issue will be fixed in the following versions:
- Datecode M160, Creo Elements/Pro 5.0
- Datecode M050, Creo Parametric 1.0
- Datecode M030, Creo Parametric 2.0
Work Around: you can manually edit the text style by confirming the proper color of the text in the text style dialog.
Config Settings: sketcher_dimension_autolock & sketcher_lock_modified_dims are both "no" by default.
Anyone else run into this before?
The Diameter and Pitch were manually edited for default color.
The red dims were just turned on with Show Annotation.
The red dims will have a blue color shown as Text Style in Properties.
