Another Shown vs. Created dims Topic

Hello Gurus,

I have a reference shown dimension on a WF2 drawing. When I open the
drawing this dimension is created in blue (it would be purple if i use
default display settings). The correct value is 55.5mm for the dimension as
you can see from the created dimension in the last picture. When I take an
action;
If I repaint the drawing its color changes to yellow, but its value
remains the same.
If I move after repainting it, the value becomes 52.5mm (too
weird).
If I move the dimension both the color and value change. It becomes
52.5mm in yellow.
A brief info about the feature that the dim is belonged:
First I created a point and I used this point as a reference of the
first opening (the farthest on the left). Depth of this cut is to the
selection.
Direction patterned the point
Reference patterned the opening.
I will remove this dimension but I wonder what causes this weird result.

Kind regards,
Murat TOKLU

That is not uncommon. When you do a repaint it removes the magenta (or blue in your case) color and turns it yellow. This doesn't mean it is fixed. The dimension still has lost it's references. It is still invalid. If you were to do a regenerate draft, plot, or close the drawing and re-open it, it will turn blue again.

It is something that always made me scratch my head also.... Why would dimensions turn back to yellow when they haven't been fixed? But it happens. It has done this as long as I can remember.

As far as I can remember from my previous jobs repaint does not move purple
but I am not sure, probably you are right.
What I can't understand is after replacing the dimension it seems as if it
is fixed but its value is not correct. I checked its value both in my
sketch and in drawing (with a created dimension); it should be 55.5mm not
52.5mm. That is strange for me...
