Attached, you will find a basic color map.
Included are 36 basic colors, 36 pastel colors, and 5 grayscale (not shown) to even up the Appearance Manager's 6xN matrix.
All the solid colors are based on the default gray, and the transparent colors were 100% of the base color at 50% transparency.
I find this much more useful than the few defaults provided. Just load it wherever you like and append using the Appearance Manager.
Color names were assigned to maintain sorting as shown.
