Connect 2 faces to create a solid object

Hi community people,

I am VERY unfamiliar with 3D drawing tools, so please bear with me...

I am trying to create an object, which "almost" is a 2-D drawing, which must be pulled 30mm.

But the Top/Bottom surfaces are a little bit different.

I have tried to define 2 surfaces "Top"/"Bottom", but I do not know how to combine these and add the missing surfaces.

I have tried to use "Gather Faces" without success

Am I doing it totally wrong?

I actually figured it out myself (after watching 50+ videos).

I created a parallel copy of the workspace, and used Loft...

My first try would be a "blend" feature. I would not bother creating individual surfaces. You define the two sketches at the parallel distance you need.
