Copied External Reference

Creo 2, M120

I'm getting this message in my assy when I regenerate the model:

A copied version of the external reference is used.

It's a skeleton driven assy but also uses some shared components that are drive by other master models from another assemblies.

What does this message mean?

It is best to remove outside references. If the outside
reference is no longer available your feature will no longer be constrained.
Add constrains within the part after removing outside constraines. But as the
assy is updated the parts will no longer be updated
