Copy geometry from an assembly with multiple parts using shrinkwrap

All,

I am trying to copy geometry from an assembly with multiple parts
into a single part. I was able to do
this by creating a shrinkwrap feature in the assembly, but the shrinkwrap
feature cannot be viewed in the part (the shrinkwrap feature is in the model
tree, but no visible on the part.

Because there are multiple parts in the assembly (see attached
“Leaf.asm” and “Leaf.prt”), I have created a shrinkwrap with chain references
from the four parts in the assembly. The
shrinkwrap was then published as a geometry feature and copied into a part (see
attached “car.prt”). Now I see the
shrinkwrap feature in model tree, but the geometry is not visible.

Has anyone had experience with this technique? any issues? Please help.

Chris

Hi Chris,

Maybe, you can try to put a skeleton

Hi Chris,

Edit publish geometry (id 140) in LEAF.ASM, currently the selected items are in references box. Remove the selection in reference and add your required shrinkwrap feature one-by-one in chain box. Refer image.

Give ok and update your part, now you can see your shrinkwrap feature there.
