Creo View Adapter 3 M020 and Creo Parametric 3 M120

Has anyone run into the issue where the combination of Adapter and Parametric on a CAD Worker will not publish combinataion view states for MBD models?

Resolution

• Create Combined Views in Pro/ENGINEER and add XSec to it
  • Use View Manager > All tab
  • See Pro/ENGINEER Help Center topic 'To Create Combined Views' for details
• With File > Save a Copy -> PVS/PVZ, add options to <Pro/ENGINEER>\text\prodview\export_pvs.rcp file (text mode);
  • adapter/outputAuthorState=1
• When using ProductView Adapters, check these options in proe2pv.rcp file:
  • Basic -> Output Author States
  • All options under Parameters > Miscellaneous > Author States

We have both of the following selected in our recipe file on our CAD Worker.

• Basic -> Output Author States
• All options under Parameters > Miscellaneous > Author States

I am wondering if it is specific to Creo Parametric 3.0 M120 and Creo View Adapter 3.0 M020, since Creo View 3.0 M020 won't open PVZ files created out of Creo Parametric 3.0 M120.

I think you have to contact PTC Support ... and ask them for advice.

I opened a case with PTC and they say it is an issue and they are looking into it. FYI, the scenarios are what we tested.

Case 1

Creo Parametric 3.0 M070

Creo View OA 3.0 M020

Creo View 3.0 M020, 3.1 M010, and 4.1 F000 (client)

(publish OK, including simp and combined reps)

Case 2

Creo Parametric 3.0 120

Creo View OA 3.0 M020

Creo View 3.0 M020, 3.1 M010, and 4.1 F000 (client)

(not publish OK, missing simp and combined reps)

Case 3

Creo Parametric 3.0 120

Creo View OA 3.0 M032

Creo View 3.0 M020, 3.1 M010, and 4.1 F000 (client)

(publish OK, including simp and combined reps)
