Cylindrical Cam Issues

Hi eyeryone

I tried creating Cylindrical Cam in creo 3.0

Can we maintain all 3 parameters at once?

Parameters to be maintained are as follows-

1-Base of the tool path should be parallel to cylindrical surface.

2-Both sidewalls of the tool path should be exact parallel.

3-Base of the tool path (on which the follower moves)should be perpendicular to the sidewalls of the tool path(slot within the cylinder).

The max speed for motor is 1500 rpm. Generally the motor runs at 200 rpm which is very less. If the cam runs at higher speeds, it will result in damage of both cam and follower. The follower is going to damage side walls of cylindrical cam.

Please find the attached Cam_out.log file for better understanding.

Is it possible to design cam by maintaining all 3 above mentioned parameters?

You're probably better off creating a new discussion instead of a document.
