Drawing Balloons

All,

Can someone point me in the direction of a standard on how to stack balloon call outs in a drawing?

Wayne-O,

Vertically or horizontally is my recommendation. HOPEFULLY you are using the
BOM balloons! If you are creating balloons from the drawing menus it won't
work nearly as nicely as if you end up creating them the ACAD way. Use the
FORCE Luke!

Here is how it is done IF you are using Pro/E PROPERLY. Make your assembly
and get all of the components assembled correctly. Then make sure that you
import a table with a repeat region in it. Make sure that this region is set
up correctly too. Select the repeat region as the source for your balloons
and make sure that you choose QUANTITY BALLOONS. Then show your balloons by
view or by showing all. You should be getting the balloons that point out
your components. Then you will need to MERGE these balloons onto their
respective component balloons for "stacking" as you call it.

Creo Community,

I have created a "start" drawing from a format, I have added the view templates and a repeat region for the
bom. In one of the view templates (default view) I have balloon checked. When I go to use this start drawing
the views come in fine, but I get an error message that says:
"The balloons cannot be shown in the view on page 1 because there has been no bom balloon repeat region set."
Is there a way to assign the balloons from the repeat region to a specific view template (default)?

Brad,

Did you set the view properties for the balloon option? I had the same problem until I set the table region and then set the balloon option to look at the proper view. I am also on Creo2 build M100.
