Exploded States, can you use an existing exploded state of a sub-assembly in a top level model?

Hi,

I am producing an exploded drawing of a top-level assembly which includes a number of sub-assemblies with existing exploded views. My question is can I use these existing exploded views of the sub-assemblies in the top level assembly. I want to turn the explode state on some of the sub-assemblies so I can use the selected Flat BOM in the top level to identify all the parts.

Any help would be appreciated.

This is possible when using the Default Explode. When activating the default explode of the top level assembly, also the default explode of the subassemblies are triggered.

Tip 1: Existing exploded views can be saved as Default Explode, no rework has to be done.

Tip 2: The default exploded state on the top level can be saved under a different name. This way in combination with Tip 1, multiple exploded states can be transferred to the top level (via the Default Explode)
