Extremely slow preselection highlighting in component window - Wildfire 5

One of our users is seeing a strange graphic performance problem when we upgraded from Wildfire 3 to Wildfire 5.
When he adds a component to an assembly, the preselection highlighting in the component window is incredibly slow.
The main assembly window is just fine, where everything prehighlights instantly.
But the new-component window takes up to 10 seconds to prehighlight or unhighlight a single surface or edge, even for the simplest part, such as a fastener. You can actually see it "painting" the highlighted entity. You would think that we were running Pro/E across a 300 baud modem.

In the past, I have seen this problem happen in general (in all windows) and we were always able to fix it by installing the latest graphic driver, and ensure that the 3D settings for it were optimized for Pro/E. Unfortunately, that did not work for this one user's PC.

The PC is an HP xw4400 with an nVidia Quadro FX 560 graphics card, running Windows XP x64, WIldfire 5 (CE Pro).
Wildfire 3 never had this problem on any PC.

I am seeing the same issue with my setup:

Lenovo E6850, Quadro FX1700, Windows XP, WF5 M060

Any ideas will be appreciated!

Thanks to all the replied.

With some experimentation, we discoverred that the problem was the 2nd monitor.
We disabled the 2nd monitor and all worked properly.
We don't understand why this would be the case, as Pro./E was never on that monitor.

However, this was not a solution.
The final solution was to install the driver other than the latest.
When doing a search on nVidia website for drivers, you can specify the application you use.
In our case, we ended up using 259.57 which allowed the 2nd monitor to be attached and performance is normal.
