Not sure if there is some kind of bug in Creo 2.0 related to Flexible Components but I can't get a spring to compress and adjust it's pitch dynamically in Creo 2.0.
I have an older assembly that I created in Wildfire 4 that has no problems with my spring pitch adjusting automatically as I change the distance dimension of the feature the spring fits into.
Let's say you have a rectangle platform. I assemble a square component that is 1" parallel to the rectangle bottom. I put a spring that is 1.5" between them and when I make it flexible usin the "Distance" option and then select the surface of the square and rectangle as the driver, the spring compresses to 1" while chaning the pitch automatically.
This exact simple setup does not work in Creo 2.0
Any thoughts?

SOLUTION:
I found the problem. Somehow I have a corrupted part or something went wrong with it.
I opened a spring made in WF4 in Creo 2.0 and it appeared to be just fine. When I change the length, the pitch changed automatically and there was no relation to be found. I created a spring in Creo 2.0 and the pitch did not change automatically.
Some suggested to look at the relation of the WF4 spring which I did but there was nothing there. I regenerated the spring one more time and it crashed Creo 2.0
I opened WF4 which I have installed for supporting an outside partner. I created a new spring in WF4 and it reacts the same was as in Creo 2.0. Somehow the original spring had some kind of relation but it was not showing or some kind of corruption was taking place.
Thanks for the suggestions which made me dig deeper and realize the part was just going crazy on me.
