Hi all,
I am interested in understanding the manner in which load is calculated by mechanica so that I can perform load analysis better.
I have a part on which I am trying to perform static analysis of uniform load across a surface.
The part is hinged at the center and load is applied on top.
Now when I run the mechanica analysis, it always behaves as if it will bend due to even load at the edges. This is true when we consider forces concentrated at both ends(arrows at 4 corners), but not when the force is consistent across a surface (similar to a carpet sweep).
Imagine lifting a 5kg box in your arms as compared to a 5kg barbell. I want to simulate the first scenario with a ramp.
I have attached a part for your reference.
