Hi..
We want to create a offer drawing which should be light weight.
If we take all solid component then the drawing becomes heavy. so please can anybody suggest any another method or process to create light weight drawing.
Regards,
Prashant Pandarkar
Hi Prashant,
What exactly do you need the light weight drawing for? Do you just want to show your customer's the basic design or will you be doing some detailing on it also? Is the model a part or an assembly?
If it's an assembly, you could save it as surface shrinkwrap part and then create a drawing of the part. You can also test with other neutral file types.
Thanks,
Amit
Hi Amit,
I just want to show its dimensions not whole detail drawing.
Shrinkwrap option also useful but many times there is abort to save as shrinkwrap or many times there are chances to loss surfaces.
Right now, shrinkwrap option is in my mind but want some another process which should be full proof.

What do you mean 'light weight?' PDFs are as light as they get; E-Drawings used to be, but it looks like it hasn't been updated in a while. IGES drawing export - maybe?
What is the desired use for the output and what tools are available for those who will use the drawing?
Hello prashant pandarkar
what about simplified representation? Parts which you need dimmensioned should be master and rest should be graphic representation.
If l understand "light weight" expression correctly, than it can helps...
