At one time, I think PTC marketed something called "Pro|E Ship Building
Solutions" specifically aimed at your industry. It seems to have been
short lived, however, as I only heard about it for a very short time.
(I remember thinking it was a very specific, and odd, application) This
was back around the WF2 release. perhaps talk to PTC or your VAR to see
what became of it.

Looks like PTC has a shipbuilding solution, but it uses CADDs5?

Yes, CADDS5 is the Computervision Shipbuilding / Aircraft / Modeling
software.

I believe General Dynamics uses it, I know much of the AirBus aircraft used
it.

One feature Cadds5 had that I've always wanted in ProE is Concurrent
Assembly Mockup.

You could have multiple people working on one Assembly and refresh other
people's changes.

The drawback was the overhead and Cadds5 modeling was kind of goofy compared
to Pro.

However, Computervision's surfaces were exceptional - always were - going
back to the original Cadds3x & 4x in the mid 80's.
