Importing RSD xml for cabling into MS Access database

The ~.xml file which is created by RSD for import into Pro/CABLING could be a usefuldeliverable if there were a way to view it easily. Presently we use a text editor and search through thousands of lines of text, describing hundreds of components and connections.Granted, it's easy enough to do a report in RSD to show all the signals on the pins of a connector, for example. Butif it were possible to query the xml database directly, it would helpcheckers and designers greatly, and the RSD user would not have to create and update extra reports.

When I import the ~.xml file into Microsoft Access 2007, a problem arises because all the RSD information is embedded as attributes (metadata) rather than elements, which is what Access wants to see.So all the cells are blank. The solution is to apply a 'Transform', which is a ~.xsl file (W3C eXtensible Style sheet Language) that converts all attributes to elements. I've made a crude one but it needs a lot of work. If anyone has one they are willing to share, it would be greatly appreciated.

On a general note, if there are anyother usefulmethods of parsing and viewing the xml output thatyou arewilling to share, that would also be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance !
